In order to facilitate effective and transparent dialogue, “EAST GAS ENERGY TRADING” SRL announces the following commercial offer for November 2023 regarding the supply of natural gas, transmitted to SA ENERGOCOM.
Furthermore, EGET confirms its openness to collaborate with all companies in the Republic of Moldova interested in procuring natural gas from our company at the most advantageous prices and conditions.
Based on information in the press, such as SA MOLDOVAGAZ procuring natural gas from SA ENERGOCOM for the period of October – December 2023 at the price of 605 USD/1000m3 or ~56.8 USD/MWh or ~52.83 Eur/MWh or 10935 MDL/1000m3 (10.935 MDL/1m3), EGET’s offer is much more advantageous, amounting to 469 USD/1000m3 or 41.35 EUR/MWh or approximately 8477 MDL/1000m3 (8.477 MDL/1m3) excluding VAT, including the cost of gas and transportation to the point of connection with the national natural gas transportation system. The price of natural gas purchased from Gazprom for the left bank of the Dniester River for November is 830.42 USD/1000m3. EGET’s offer to SA ENERGOCOM would allow ANRE to recalculate the natural gas supply tariff, and taking into account the offered price, the average price of natural gas supply by SA MOLDOVAGAZ to the end consumer would be around 11 MDL/1m3, excluding VAT. Furthermore, such a price would mean that all end consumers would return to SA Moldovagaz on the regulated market, as the supply price of gas on the unregulated market is higher than 11 MDL/1m3 excluding VAT.
SA ENERGOCOM has previously mentioned that it would have purchased natural gas at a higher price and stored it in storage facilities. Therefore, the cost of gas offered to SA MOLDOVAGAZ by SA ENERGOCOM is 605 USD/1000m3, which constitutes a mix of natural gas procured at a higher price and natural gas procured at a lower price. The cost of gas stored by SA ENERGOCOM would be calculated as follows: 605 USD/1000m3, minus the cost of extraction from storage in Ukraine (for example) (10.21 USD/1000m3), minus the transit cost to the point of connection with the national natural gas transportation system in Moldova (11.77 USD/1000m3 Hrebenyky exit), totaling 583 USD/1000m3 or 542.28 EUR/1000m3 or 50.92 EUR/MWh, the assumed cost of gas stored in Ukraine by SA ENERGOCOM. The actual costs will be lower because the calculation mentioned does not take into account the tariff offered by Ukraine through the short-haul 1 method and the exemption of the transit cost of natural gas through the Republic of Moldova as per the decision of the CSE. Based on the aforementioned, the selling price on the European gas exchange and the price of gas stored by SA ENERGOCOM would allow the company to sell the entire quantity of stored gas on the European exchange directly from the storage facility in Ukraine, or to trading companies in the region with which SA ENERGOCOM has signed bilateral partnership contracts, respectively having a more advantageous procurement price of natural gas from “EAST GAS ENERGY TRADING” SRL for consumers in the Republic of Moldova.
